Cel-Span 618 is a highly loaded concentrate which contains an inorganic material that is used as an anti-block agent for polyethylene films. Anti-blocks are most commonly used in polyethylene film to prevent adjacent film surfaces in a roll or a finished bag from sticking together. The refractive index and particle size of this material coupled with the low level usage lends itself to maintaining excellent clarity in optical grade applications.
